Flood Insurance (FEMA)

Over the years we have been able to help many different clients obtain a lower flood insurance rate or eliminate the need for flood insurance altogether. If you think your home should be out of the Flood Zone but are still getting high flood insurance bills, give us a call. You may be eligible to have your structure removed from the Flood Zone. We have worked with FEMA on many different properties to have these structures removed.

Gary Nyhus

President
The founder of the company. Gary has over 30 years of experience Surveying in the Lincoln County area. He began surveying for the BLM after becoming interested in the field while logging. He went from the BLM to surveying for Lincoln County before starting his own business. Gary Nyhus is one of the most trusted names in Surveying. A true expert in recovering original evidence. Professionally Licensed since 1991. As a licensed professional surveyor, Gary is the fourth generation of his family to earn a living from the land. When he isn't surveying, Gary spends his time working the family's 500 acre ranch and tree farm.
Steven Nyhus
P.L.S.
Steven has over 10 years of experience working for Nyhus Surveying Inc. He specializes in running the total station and dealing with FEMA about Flood Insurance. He graduated from Waldport High School in 2008 and Oregon State University's Forest Engineering program in 2012. He became professionally licensed in 2016.
Eric Nyhus
P.L.S.
Our lead GPS operator, Eric also has over 10 years of experience with the company. He graduated from Waldport High School in 2010 and went on to graduate from Oregon State in 2014 with a degree in Forest Engineering. He became professionally licensed in 2018.
